Construction Details
The 40ft container frame is constructed from heavy-gauge structural steel, with corner castings at all eight corners for standardized lifting and stacking. The walls and roof are corrugated Corten steel, which develops a protective oxidation layer that prevents deep corrosion. The floor consists of 1-1/8 inch marine-grade tropical hardwood plywood over steel cross members, rated to support forklift traffic and concentrated loads up to 16,000 lbs per axle.
The double swing doors open a full 270 degrees and feature rubber weather gaskets, heavy-duty hinges, and four cam locking bars with a welded anti-theft lockbox. When properly secured, the container is virtually impenetrable to unauthorized access and completely sealed against rain, wind, dust, and pests.
