Its defining feature is a removable solid steel roof that can be lifted off entirely by crane or forklift, opening up the full top surface of the container for loading heavy, oversized, or irregularly shaped cargo from above. Once loaded, the roof reattaches to provide complete weather protection and structural security during transport or storage.
This is a one trip container, meaning it was manufactured to current ISO standards, used for a single voyage from the factory, and arrived in near pristine condition. How the Hard Top Design Works
The steel roof panel sits on the container frame and is secured with locking mechanisms at multiple points around the perimeter. When you need top access, a crane lifts the entire roof panel clear of the container, leaving the full internal area open and accessible from above. Heavy items such as machinery, engines, transformers, coils, and fabricated steel components can be lowered directly into position without needing to fit through the end doors. Once cargo is placed and secured using the internal lashing rings, the roof is lowered back into position and locked, restoring the container to a fully enclosed, weatherproof, and stackable unit.

A one trip container has been manufactured at the factory, loaded with cargo for its first and only ocean voyage, and delivered to its destination port. It has not been in repeated shipping service.
